IDAANP uses CapWiz — an online tool — to turn the IDAANP web site into an online political powerhouse for its members. Key features of CapWiz: ACTION ALERTS Now IDAANP can send all members an action alert when a pressing issue arises in the legislature. You will be able to send a targeted message directly to your legislator in just a few minutes. ELECTED OFFICIALS DATABASE With just a zip code or postal address, you will be able to research and send messages to local, state, and national legislators. This resource provides information such as: Legislator Profiles Find an elected official's photo, biography, contact information, committee membership, term of service, contribution history, staff members, and more Compose Message Links Send an e-mail, fax, or printed letter to a specific legislator from his or her profile page Voting Histories Review key vote and co-sponsorship information for Members of Congress and state legislators Optional Comments or Linked Resources Find additional information and/or links, which can include how your organization ranks a particular legislator ISSUES & LEGISLATION This function provides tools that enable you to: Current Legislation Find updated information on votes and bills important to naturopathic medicine Voter Scorecards See which legislators support issues important to the AANP Tips and Best Practices Learn how to better communicate with Congress and state legislatures SEARCH FEATURES You will have multiple search functions, including: ZIP Search Type in a five-digit ZIP code to find specific federal officials' biography pages and see how they voted on certain legislation Interactive Map Utilize the interactive map to locate the governor and congressional representatives for a particular state/district Name Search Find a federal official by typing in part of his or her last name MEDIA GUIDE You can look up local and national media outlets in your area (newspapers, magazines, political publications, radio stations, and television stations) and send letters to the editor or coverage requests to reporters and editors.
